Job summary

The Laurus Trust's IT services team is seeking a Senior IT Technician to lead the day-to-day IT helpdesk at Cheadle Hulme High School. This role provides second-line support, coordinates IT technicians, and contributes to infrastructure and service improvement projects across 17 schools serving more than 10,000 users.

You will support the IT Managers, help maintain a reliable customer-focused service, and help drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade A* to C, or equivalent.
• Direct experience in IT support or helpdesk role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other common IT software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the IT helpdesk
• Provide high-quality second-line IT support
• Support the IT Manager in delivering an efficient, reliable IT service
• Coordinate the work of IT technicians and lead by example
• Contribute to infrastructure, systems and service improvement projects
• Take responsibility for daily administration and operation of the IT department
