Job summary

Farrans Construction is seeking an experienced Fit-Out Internals Manager / General Foreperson to oversee internal finishing works on a live care home development project. You will manage subcontractors, drive quality, and maintain programme deadlines in a live construction environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership with proven experience in care homes, healthcare, residential, or hotel projects, plus SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fit-Out Manager on care home or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of drylining, joinery, finishes, M&E coordination.
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS cards and First Aid at Work.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise internal fit-out from first fix to handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors to deliver on time and to spec.
• Ensure quality control across finishing stages.
• Conduct regular inspections and address defects.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and building control.
• Monitor programme and address delays.
• Ensure health & safety compliance.
• Manage snagging and commissioning support.
• Plan materials and labour resources efficiently.
