Job summary

Peregrine seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer specializing in BMC Helix to design, implement, configure and support enterprise-scale ITSM solutions. You will work across cloud and containerised environments, building integrations and automation to streamline operations.

The role requires deep BMC Helix expertise, scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash), and experience with CI/CD tooling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable service management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering and developing within BMC Helix ITSM.
• Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
• Experience deploying and configuring ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SOAP services and integration tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain BMC Helix ITSM solutions.
• Administer and enhance core ITSM modules such as Incident/Problem/Change/CMDB/Asset/Smart IT.
• Develop AR System workflows (Active Links, Filters, Escalations, Menu Objects).
• Configure and develop applications using BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
• Implement workflow automation and self-service capabilities across the platform.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot BMC Helix environments in cloud and containerised infra.
• Build and support integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML and Integration Services.
• Create automation scripts and support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible).
• Participate in upgrades, patching, migrations and performance tuning.
• Document designs and operational procedures.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced BMC Helix Engineer to design, implement, configure, and support enterprise-scale BMC Helix IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise across the BMC Helix platform, including workflow automation, integrations, cloud deployments, and ITSM best practices. They will work closely with technical teams, service management professionals, and stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable service management solutions.

• Produce technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures

Skills & Experience:

Strong experience administering and developing within BMC Helix ITSM.

Extensive knowledge of:

• BMC Helix Integration Service (iPaaS).

Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.

Desirable skills:

• BMC Certified Professional certifications.
• ITIL Managing Professional or higher.
• Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certification.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Security Clearance (SC).
