Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Infra Engineering Specialist to support and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite, including BHOM, BHCO and Helix Discovery. You will contribute to service improvements, infrastructure automation, and ensure BAU reliability while participating in out-of-hours support rotations.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience with BHOM/BHCO/BMC Helix Discovery, IaC practice, and ideally Flexera Asset Management.

Qualifications

• Experience with BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM) and related Helix components.
• Experience with BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO) and Helix Discovery.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tooling.
• Desirable: Flexera Software Asset Management platform knowledge.

Role Overview

Support, maintenance and optimisation of the BMC Helix platform suite including BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM), BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO), and BMC Helix Discovery.

Resources will provide infrastructure engineering expertise, platform support, service improvement activities and technical leadership to maximise value from the Helix implementation and support operational teams. Engineers will participate in the out-of-hours support rota.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain operational support for the AutoSys Workload Automation estate.

Maintain and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite.

Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements and improve team resilience.

Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions supporting Flexera SaaS integration.

Provide engineering expertise and leadership to enable strategic workstreams to continue whilst maintaining BAU services.

Support service availability, stability and operational effectiveness across DWP tooling services.

Required Experience

Resources must possess demonstrable experience of one or more of the following technologies:

• BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM)
• BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO)
• BMC Helix Discovery
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Flexera Software Asset Management platform (desirable)
