Thomson in Leeds is seeking a Senior Hydrologist/Senior Aquatic Ecologist to lead our Water Team. You will deliver large, complex hydro-ecological projects, mentor staff and ensure high-quality environmental outcomes for clients.

The role combines technical leadership, business development and client engagement, with a focus on compliant, evidence-based reports and effective project delivery across projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental consultancy
• Background in aquatic ecology, hydro-ecology or similar
• Track record of winning work and building client relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex hydro-ecological projects
• Provide expert guidance on legislation, policy and best practice
• Review and approve technical reports and deliverables
• Oversee budgets, forecasting and team financial performance
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
