Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Hydraulic Engineer to lead delivery of hydraulic studies across water infrastructure in Warrington, Leeds, or Cambridge. You will guide complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and strengthen client relationships.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering or related field.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards registration.
Significant experience delivering hydraulic projects in the UK water sector.
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and transient analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead complex hydraulic studies (steady state and transient).
Provide guidance on hydraulic structures, pumping systems and conveyance assets.
Review models, calculations and reports for engineering excellence.
