Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Control System Verification & Validation Engineer to deliver HVDC controls and protection verification and validation activities on time and within project schedules. The role requires technical leadership across work packages, ensuring compliance with processes and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with power systems/power electronics
  • Significant HVDC verification experience with control & protection design
  • Strong knowledge of 400kV substations and HVDC systems (LCC/VSC/SVC)
  • Technical leadership to manage a team of validation engineers
  • Excellent English communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain Validation & Verification activity plans per project schedule
  • Design and review Factory System Test (FST) cases and lead FAT with clients
  • Develop HVDC system models and perform dynamic studies
  • Prepare RTDS lab interfaces and power system network modelling
  • Support New Product Introduction for HVDC products/tools
  • Assist Commissioning Engineers during dynamic site commissioning
  • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization within the team
