Burns & McDonnell in Glasgow seeks a Field Construction Manager to lead on-site operations for HV substation projects. You will direct and organize activities, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and manage subcontractors and staff while maintaining accurate daily/weekly reporting.

You will hold relevant HV certificates, drive performance, coordinate with clients and authorities, and mentor site teams to achieve contract KPIs.

Formación

• HV substation environment knowledge
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Full UK driving licence and valid qualifications
• Experience with CDM regulations and safety standards
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients and authorities
• Commercial awareness of site-based activities on project finances
• Knowledge of drawing management and engineering drawings

Responsabilidades

• Lead and motivate a team of subcontractors to deliver planning and operations
• Deliver planned work safely, on time, and to client requirements
• Produce staff rosters and manage resource reporting
• Conduct site visits and maintain records of resources, materials, and plant
• Provide timely reports and briefings to management
• Coordinate with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety policy compliance
• Provide leadership and coaching to site staff and subcontractors
