Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Glasgow seeks a Senior Revit/CAD Designer to lead all aspects of substation/building technology on design and construction projects. You will develop technical knowledge, innovate solutions, and ensure post-construction considerations are addressed.

You will work within the Digital Delivery Team, apply ISO 19650 standards, and coordinate with clients, project managers and design teams to deliver compliant drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in drafting, technology, engineering or related field and 8 years of relevant experience required.
• HND in a related field and 9 years of relevant experience. OR
• HNC in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience. OR
• Secondary School Certificate and 11 years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and review the needs of clients and users and agreeing the project brief.
• Producing CAD/Revit files to surveyors requirements, including plans and sections.
• Preparing and presenting design proposals using Revit/CAD techniques and traditional methods.
• Working within a team to produce the detailed design process and co-ordinating detailed design information.
• Developing the project design, researching problems and producing innovative solutions.
• Ensuring continual compliance with design, statutory and professional requirements.
