Job summary

Elekta Lead Electronics Engineer in Crawley is responsible for technical leadership of high-voltage and power electronic systems at the heart of radiotherapy solutions. You will drive design, verification and lifecycle activities, collaborating with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and service teams to deliver safe and innovative products that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent
• Experience with power electronics, HV systems, RF technologies or pulsed-power applications
• Understanding of EMC, grounding, shielding, insulation, thermal management and system reliability
• Experience in regulated, high-reliability or safety-critical environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with practical solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of HV, RF and pulsed-power subsystems used within medical linear accelerators.
• Drive design, integration, verification and lifecycle activities, ensuring safe, reliable solutions.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges related to power electronics, RF performance, thermal behaviour and EMC.
• Define technical requirements, review designs and provide engineering direction.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and service teams, and external suppliers.
• Support design reviews, risk management, compliance activities and mentoring across the team.
