Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Crawley team. You will help develop full stack web applications for a medical environment, delivering reliable software for clinical workflows and radiation therapy.

You will design components, APIs and services using C#/.NET and Java, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure high-quality, tested software within a collaborative Agile Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, STEM or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong experience developing full stack web-based applications in a professional software environment.
• Experience developing with C#/.NET 8+ and Java 17+.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging and building reliable software.
• Experience with modern software development practices, ideally including Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full stack web applications used within a medical environment.
• Build and maintain application components, services and APIs using technologies including C#/.NET and Java.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help shape software architecture and solutions.
• Develop high-quality, reliable software with a strong focus on usability and performance.
• Write and maintain unit tests and contribute to automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Review code and contribute to pull requests, code merges and agreed development standards.
• Work closely with other engineers as part of an Agile Scrum team to deliver planned features and improvements.
• Share your technical knowledge, support other engineers and help identify opportunities to improve how the team works.
