Job summary

GenesisCare UK is seeking a Lead Physicist for our Cromwell Hospital centre in Kensington, London. You will act as the Medical Physics Expert on site, providing scientific leadership and oversight of radiotherapy delivery, treatment planning, and QA across imaging and therapy systems.

We value extensive MPE experience, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to innovation in cancer care.

Qualifications

Extensive clinical experience as radiotherapy physicist at MPE level.
Oversee treatment planning, QA and dosimetry in radiotherapy.
Proven track record in Linac calibration and QA.
Experience with IMRT/VMAT planning and plan checking.
Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills.
Ability to train, mentor and influence multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Act as Radiotherapy Medical Physics Expert (MPE) on site; support treatment delivery.
Provide scientific and technical oversight for planning and dosimetry.
Lead Linac calibration and QA per national standards.
Oversee QA across CT/MR and IGRT systems.
Collaborate with radiographers, oncologists and clinical teams.
Train staff in dosimetry, QA and planning processes.
Manage equipment maintenance liaison with engineers.
Contribute to service development and innovation.
Maintain robust documentation and safety adherence.
Participate in UK-wide physics and dosimetry initiatives.
