Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at a busy site in Slough. The role oversees day-to-day operations, maintains high cleanliness standards, manages budgets, and ensures staff development and policy compliance.

You will drive training, conduct inspections, and report to the Operations Manager while delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Housekeeper or similar supervisory role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership with a track record of developing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident using IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and team management.
• Experience delivering training and maintaining health and safety standards.
• Flexible, proactive, and approachable with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire the housekeeping team to meet high service standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with hotel management and staff.
• Conduct regular room and floor inspections to ensure consistent quality.
• Monitor site budgets and contribute to cost efficiency.
• Report weekly performance updates to the Operations Manager.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the on-site team.
• Ensure team members are trained, productive, and supported through coaching and mentoring.
• Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
• Promote professionalism, reliability, and a positive team culture.
