Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a Homelessness Service Team Leader to oversee daily operations in the Housing Team and lead a team delivering frontline support to individuals at risk of homelessness. You will guide staff, ensure adherence to homelessness policy, and work with partners to deliver effective advice and assistance.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and robust experience in homelessness services, including case management and partnership working

Qualifications

• Experience providing homelessness advice and support with robust case management.
• Knowledge of homelessness legislation and policy.
• Experience working in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies in a customer-focused housing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of homelessness service operations.
• Provide line management and develop the homelessness service.
• Collaborate with partners to support individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
• Coordinate service delivery and advise team members on best practices.
