Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Lutterworth. The role involves leading small-group sessions, supporting teachers, and providing essential pupil support in a busy primary setting.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday during term time, with immediate start options. A dedicated education consultant and access to multiple schools in the area are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Experience supporting children within primary education.
• Confidence leading activities and managing groups of pupils.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• A flexible, proactive and nursing approach.
• An HLTA qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group learning sessions and targeted interventions.
• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Provide additional support to pupils with a variety of learning needs.
• Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Provide lesson or class cover when required, depending on experience and school expectations.
