Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Leicester. You will support classroom learning, lead activities and help pupils progress in a busy primary setting.

The role requires initiative, strong behaviour management and the ability to work with teachers to monitor progress. An HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial, with term-time, Monday-Friday work and 115–120 GBP per day.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Experience supporting pupils across primary education.
• Strong classroom management and communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Lead whole-class and group sessions as needed
• Provide targeted support to pupils with different learning needs
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Assist with lesson preparation and learning activity implementation
• Support behaviour management and pupil engagement
• Monitor pupil progress with teachers and identify development areas
• Step in to cover lessons when required according to school expectations
