Job summary

Aspire People seeks an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Hinckley to support classroom learning and lead small-group activities.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, support pupil development, and help manage groups with a proactive approach. Roles run Monday to Friday during term time, with ongoing opportunities across Hinckley and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school.
• Experience supporting children across primary education.
• Confidence leading learning activities and managing groups of pupils.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach.
• An HLTA qualification or relevant equivalent experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Lead small-group activities, interventions and learning sessions.
• Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Assist with lesson planning and the preparation of classroom resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
• Provide classroom cover when required, depending on your experience and school expectations.
