Carbon 60, Inc. is seeking a Highways Construction Manager for a major UK infrastructure programme in the South East. The role is hybrid (3 days on site) with a day rate up to 800 GBP inside IR35, for an initial 6‑month contract.

You will lead the highways construction input, coordinate with consultants and stakeholders, and shape delivery strategies across a multi-billion pound programme. You will drive risk management, cost tracking, and procurement support, while ensuring value for money and

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering major highways projects.
• Proven ability to work in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
• Experience managing design organisations on large construction projects.
• Experience engaging with National Highways and/or local highway authorities.
• Involvement in highways construction procurement.

Responsabilités

• Lead highways construction input to the Development Consent Order and guide consultants.
• Ensure value for money in consultant delivery.
• Develop high-quality Statements of Common Ground with stakeholders.
• Identify, manage and mitigate construction risk.
• Track change and cost movement across the scope.
• Advise on dependencies, risks and decision points for the programme.
• Produce technical papers and briefing materials for stakeholder meetings.
• Support the packaging strategy and contractor procurement.
