Job summary

Carbon 60, Inc. is seeking a Highways Construction Manager for a major UK infrastructure programme in the South East. Hybrid role with 3 days on site, leading highways construction and coordinating with consultants across a multi-disciplinary team.

You will shape the delivery strategy, manage risks, and liaison with National Highways and local highway authorities. The role involves DCO input, procurement support, and producing briefing materials for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering major highways projects.
• Experience in complex, multi-disciplinary environments where collaboration is central.
• Proven track record managing and assuring design organisations on large construction projects.
• Experience engaging with National Highways and/or local highway authorities.
• Involvement in highways construction procurement.

Responsibilities

• Leading the highways construction input to a Development Consent Order and directing consultants.
• Ensuring value for money from consultants and partners.
• Developing Statements of Common Ground with highways stakeholders.
• Identifying, managing and mitigating construction risk.
• Tracking change and cost movement across your scope.
• Advising the wider consenting and environmental programme on dependencies and risks.
• Producing technical papers and presentations for stakeholder meetings.
• Supporting the packaging strategy and contractor procurement.
