Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Ganger to lead a small civils team delivering essential drainage and wastewater network works across the South of England. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, carrying out excavations, manhole repairs and installations while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, risk assessments and management of plant, materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Groundworks, utilities, or civils experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NRSWA (Streetworks).
• Cat & Genny.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, including excavations, manhole repairs and installations.
• Lead a small civils team and coordinate on-site activities.
• Carry out risk assessments and manage plant, materials and equipment.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
