Job summary

Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is seeking a proactive Ganger to lead a small civils team delivering essential drainage work across sites in the South of England. You will own daily site activities, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safe, efficient work with a focus on quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have groundworks or utilities civils experience, familiarity with site tools and plant, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Groundworks or utilities experience in a civils environment.
• Familiarity with industry tools, plant and machinery.
• Understanding of health & safety and safe site practices.
• Full clean driving licence.
• NRSWA (Streetworks).
• Cat & Genny training.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site activities including excavations, manhole rebuilds, repairs and installations.
• Conduct daily risk assessments and coordinate site operations.
• Oversee plant and materials requests and maintain records.
• Ensure correct, safe use of vehicles and equipment on site.
• Supervise a small team delivering civils work across the drainage network.
