Hirecracker is recruiting a Ganger for civils and drainage works across the South West. Lead a small team on residential, commercial, and rural sites with hands-on leadership and strict safety standards.

You will oversee civils, drainage and reinstatement tasks, operate site equipment, and ensure permits and risk assessments are in place. The role offers a permanent PAYE contract with a 45-hour week and a competitive salary.

Competenze

• Previous experience leading a small team of operatives.
• Minimum of three years in the water, utilities or drainage industry.
• Practical experience across civils and drainage works.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel across Devon and Cornwall.
• Excavator and dumper tickets are advantageous, training may be provided.

Mansioni

• Leading and coordinating daily activities for a small team of operatives.
• Carrying out civils, drainage, pipe fitting and reinstatement works.
• Operating excavators, dumpers and other site equipment.
• Completing risk assessments, permits and site documentation.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Liaising with clients, customers and site representatives.
• Providing daily progress updates to supervisors and management.
• Supporting reactive works and participating in a one-in-five on-call rota.
