Job summary

Metrica Recruitment is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer – Generative AI in London. You will combine hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, shaping architectures and guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, secure AI-enabled applications on modern cloud platforms.

You will engage with clients and stakeholders, drive PoC to production, mentor engineers, and contribute to strategic technical initiatives and bids.

Qualifications

• Must have strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Expertise across backend and frontend development.
• Hands-on Generative AI, LLMs and AI frameworks experience.
• Experience building applications on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of vector databases (PGVector or MongoDB).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical projects and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams delivering Generative AI solutions.
• Design and build scalable full-stack AI applications.
• Develop RAG pipelines, AI agents and LLM-powered platforms.
• Define technical architecture and engineering best practices.
• Drive delivery from proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Engage directly with clients to shape technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and support capability development.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, and technical demonstrations.
