Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is assisting a successful food manufacturer in Aberdeen to appoint a Production Supervisor. You will report to the Shift Manager, ensuring safe, efficient production and compliance with quality standards on a day-to-day basis.

You will lead a team, coordinate shift activities, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining food safety and hygiene across the line.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production, quality, food safety and Health & Safety.
• Capable of managing competing priorities and delivering the plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production activities across the shift.
• Ensure production plans, targets and OEE requirements are achieved.
• Communicate between production lines and departments.
• Ensure materials, labour and resources are available.
• Monitor product quality and complete QC checks.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and Health & Safety.
• Lead team meetings and identify training needs.
• Coach and develop team members to build a multi-skilled workforce.
• Monitor equipment performance and work with Asset Care to minimise downtime.
• Support stock checks, works orders and production planning.
• Deliver improvement projects and organise overtime as required.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover as directed.
