Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Lead Food Manager to oversee the grocery shop floor in a store, leading a team of food managers to deliver excellent customer experiences and high standards. You’ll drive trading events, coach colleagues, and maintain safety and compliance while stepping in when the store manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of food managers to manage the grocery shop floor in one of our supermarkets
• Execute trading events by collaborating with store leadership to drive sales during peak periods
• Regularly taking full accountability for the store in the absence of a store manager and coaching for high standards
• Ensure compliance with processes and safety while delivering engaging shopping experiences
• It is essential to oversee a large team, ensuring coverage on the shop floor and handling people matters appropriately
