Sainsbury's in Leeds is seeking a Lead Food Manager to steer the grocery shop floor with a hands-on leadership style. You will coach a team of food managers, drive store standards, and own day-to-day operations to deliver excellent customer experiences.

You’ll use data and KPI insights to improve performance, manage complex people matters with fairness, and lead the store in the absence of senior leadership while building an inclusive, high-performing team for a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven ability to drive KPIs across complex operations.
• Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters with fairness.
• Leadership in an operational retail setting, owning departmental performance.
• Evidence of leading change and embedding new systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead a small team of food managers to manage the grocery shop floor.
• Execute trading events with the store leadership team to win during peak periods.
• Regularly taking full accountability for the store in the absence of a store manager, coaching for high standards and efficiency.
• Manage compliance to processes and safety whilst delivering great shopkeeping and customer experiences.
• Ensure the team performs at their best and handles people matters professionally.
