Job summary

Bradford Council's Shearbridge Depot is seeking a skilled Workshop Team Leader to supervise a busy fleet workshop, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will lead staff and contractors, perform servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across diverse vehicles, with a hands-on approach in all weather. Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained to City & Guilds 380/383 Level 2 or equivalent.
• ILM Level 3 in Management or willingness to work towards.
• IOSH qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Supervisory/deputising experience.
• LGV Class C or C+E licence or willingness to obtain.
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work safely and under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and contractors within the workshop and remotely.
• Undertake inspections, servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and complex repairs.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to high professional standards.
• Work in a busy operational workshop across all weather conditions.
• Support colleagues and provide a proactive, problem-solving approach.
