Job summary

Stagecoach Glenrothes Depot is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to lead a diverse technical team in maintaining a fleet of around 63 vehicles. You will work with the Engineering Manager to ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and road-ready, delivering high standards across maintenance and servicing.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, experience supervising a workshop, and a solid understanding of PCV operations, with a strong emphasis on health and safety and people-focused leadership.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/automotive engineering.
• Experience supervising a workshop or technical team.
• Strong understanding of PCV operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the workshop team to deliver safe, reliable, clean and road-ready vehicles.
• Schedule and prioritise vehicle maintenance and servicing activities.
• Support team development, identify training needs and foster continuous improvement.
• Quality check vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards.
