Job summary

Bradford Council's Shearbridge Workshop is seeking a skilled HGV & Motor Vehicle/Plant Mechanic to join our night shift team. You will work in a busy, efficient workshop maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment.

The role requires City & Guilds 380/383 Level 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and LGV Class C/C+E entitlement or willingness to obtain it, plus strong diagnostic and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained to City & Guilds 380/383 Level 2 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised standard.
• LGV Class C or C+E Licence – or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs to a diverse fleet of vehicles and plant equipment.
• Perform safe, efficient and high-quality workmanship in a busy operational workshop.
• Work as part of a team and be ready for occasional roadside or site repairs across the Bradford district.
