Job summary

Worley Field Services in Grimsby is seeking an Estimating Lead to head the fabrication estimates for structural steelwork and pipework projects. You will lead a small team, review tender packages, and align cost plans with operational capabilities and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities include directing bid activities, ensuring timely submission of bids, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of accuracy and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring estimating personnel, including allocating packages and prioritising workload.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of fabrication project delivery (shop fabrication and site installation).
• Ability to interpret fabrication isometrics, GA drawings and specifications and translate them into cost.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including supporting bid adjudications with senior management and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function, assign bid packages, prioritise workload and report progress to management.
• Review tender docs to identify commercial risks, exclusions and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain estimate plans across plating as the primary discipline, with support to piping estimates.
• Prepare and manage estimate/bid packages with required documentation and drawings.
