Job summary

Candover Green Ltd is seeking an experienced Environmental & Compliance Manager to own all environmental and regulatory compliance across site operations. You will lead permitting, reporting, and regulatory submissions, ensuring legal obligations are met and sustainability goals be advanced.

You will sit on the site leadership team, drive integration of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, monitor UK regulations and translate changes into practical actions for operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance within metals or waste/resource recovery sectors.
• Knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations and UK environmental legislation.
• Experience managing permits, water discharge consents, and waste shipments.
• Familiarity with ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Strong communication across operations and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all environmental compliance and ensure full adherence to UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Manage environmental permitting, planning requirements, water discharge consents, and waste shipment documentation and notifications.
• Proactively monitor and interpret regulatory changes, ensuring the business remains compliant.
• Act as a core member of the site leadership team.
• Maintain and develop integrated management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Support operational decision-making by providing clear, accurate compliance reporting.
