Job summary

The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join the Endoscopy team on a full-time basis. Role covers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern, delivering high quality peri-procedure care, leading in clinical governance and decontamination, and supporting service development within the unit.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service.
• Experience and training in pain management and care of patients under conscious sedation.
• Experience of clinical governance and audit.
• Competence across endoscopy care and decontamination.
• Experience of working with Consultants to improve services.

Responsibilities

• Support, coordinate and assist in managing care within the Endoscopy Unit.
• Deliver quality peri-procedure patient care under supervision and leadership.
• Develop and support policies and initiatives to improve service delivery.
• Adhere to the departmental decontamination programme for endoscopes.
• Complete departmental risk and COSHH assessments and implement action plans.
• Comply with mandatory training requirements.
