Job summary

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is seeking a Clinical Leader in Nursing to oversee endoscopy and theatre services. The role emphasizes strong clinical leadership, governance, and teamwork within a busy hospital setting.

You will lead Endoscopy, General and Gynae theatre activities, ensure safety, quality, and policy compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the department. An NMC/HCPC registration is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the appropriate governing body and have post-registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics.
• Experience working in theatre/endoscopy and operating department environments.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organize the Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth theatre lists and booking forms.
• Collaborate across theatre suites to meet service demands of Endoscopy, General, and Gynae.
• Promote clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and quality improvement and policy adherence.
• Support pursuit and maintenance of JAG accreditation and related requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge for audits and equipment; understand surgical techniques and equipment.
