Job summary

S Knights Recruitment is seeking a Lead Employability Tutor to join our clientin Heckmondwike, delivering high-quality employability training while overseeing day-to-day programme activity and supporting learners throughout their journey.

The role focuses on combining classroom delivery with programme coordination, ensuring learner progress, engagement and successful progression into employment or further training. Part-time, office-based in Heckmondwike with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering government-funded employability programmes.
• Experience as an Employability Tutor or similar role.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging classroom training.
• Strong learner engagement, retention and progression skills.
• Ability to coordinate programme activity and take ownership of learner outcomes.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management.
• Good safeguarding awareness and learner support understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging employability training and confidence-building sessions.
• Coordinate day-to-day programme delivery and monitor learner progress.
• Manage learner engagement, attendance, retention and progression.
• Support inductions, assessments, ILPs and RARPA processes.
• Monitor progress and provide appropriate support and interventions.
• Prepare learners for work experience, employer engagement and interviews.
• Support progression into employment, apprenticeships or further training.
• Maintain accurate learner records and programme documentation.
• Collaborate with employers and partners to develop progression opportunities.
• Support programme quality, reporting and safeguarding.
