Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications Cyber (UK) Business is seeking a senior Software Engineer to lead embedded and application software development within a cybersecurity-focused team in the UK. You will architect, implement and test software across multiple projects, applying object-oriented design and secure development practices.

The role involves line management of up to 5 engineers and collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-assurance software for sensitive defense programs.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in an engineering, mathematical or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in embedded product development (bare-metal and RTOS) or related domains.

Responsibilities

• Architect, specify requirements, design, implement and test embedded and/or application software.
• Apply object-oriented design techniques to enable code reuse and integration with testing frameworks.
• Review system design artefacts to derive software requirements and architecture.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of best practice development processes and secure software development.
