Job summary
Ultra Intelligence & Communications in the UK Cyber unit is seeking a Software Engineer to lead embedded and application software activities across multiple programmes. You will architect, design, develop and test software, mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical proposals for bids, while ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.

Qualifications
- Essential: Degree in an engineering, mathematical or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in embedded product development and software development lifecycles.
- Experience of C and C++, OO design and design patterns such as SOLID.
- Experience of software testing and design for test.
- Desirable: Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Exposure to MISRA and defensive coding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and define, architect, design, develop, document and test embedded and/or application software.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers; lead defined aspects of projects.
- Generate and review technical proposals and provide estimates for bids and proposals.
