Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd are working with a manufacturing client in the North West of England to recruit a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role supports the Maintenance Manager in leading a team of electrical technicians to keep production running safely and reliably.

You will lead maintenance activities, plan preventative and corrective work, manage the CMMS, and liaise with cross-functional teams on equipment improvements and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising maintenance technicians.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience planning preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMMS / maintenance management systems.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting engineering or maintenance projects.
• Ability to identify equipment risks and maintenance requirements.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical maintenance technicians on a day-to-day basis.
• Support the Maintenance Manager and deputise when required.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential issues and risks.
• Plan and prioritise preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure CMMS is effectively used and maintenance records are accurate.
• Diagnose electrical faults and support technical investigations.
• Identify replacement parts and arrange procurement through approved channels.
• Manage changes where replacement equipment is not like-for-like.
• Support maintenance and engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Ensure equipment overhauls and return-to-service timelines are communicated.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to required standards.
• Auditing task completion and addressing any areas where standards fall below.
• Using maintenance data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment and production issues.
• Supporting the training and development of maintenance team members.

This is a permanent position and is ideal for an experienced electrical maintenance professional who is confident leading technicians, diagnosing equipment issues and supporting maintenance and improvement projects.

The Role

• Apprenticeship or recognised technical training in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 18th Edition qualification
• COMPEX qualification
• A BEng (Hons) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is desirable
• Experience working within highly regulated environments
