Our client, a successful manufacturing business in the UK, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance and CAPEX activities at a large processing plant near Merton. You will manage a small team and external contractors while ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Applicants should have 5+ years of supervisory experience, an electrical engineering qualification (HNC/degree or 18th edition), and IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong leadership, budgeting and CAPEX project skills.
• Holds recognised electrical qualification and safety training (IOSH/NEBOSH preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities and CAPEX projects.
• Manage a small team of engineers and external contractors.
• Plan, manage, and control maintenance activities and budgets.
• Develop spare parts sourcing and inventory processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and legal standards.
• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance support.
• Maintain and develop the CMMS system.
• Lead continuous improvement to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Salary £65K - £70K Neg + Bonus (OTE £75K -£80K)

We are seeking an experienced electrical bias maintenance engineer to manage & control all maintenance and CAP-ex project activities at a large heavy industry processing plant near Merton.

The Role:

The Electrical maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some CAPEX project work. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Maintain and develop the existing CMMS
• Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors
• Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects
• Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management
• Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts
• Manage a small team of engineers & ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met
• Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible
• Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements
• Provide "Hands-on" assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery. Candidate:

Candidate:

You will be an experienced electrical maintenance engineer with supervisory or management experience.

You must have experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.

You will have at least 5 years management /supervisory experience and you must me confident in leading a small team of engineers and external contractors.

You will hold recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.

You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.

We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will maintain a visible presence around the plant.
