Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates Ltd. is seeking a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Chorley, Lancashire to keep manufacturing lines running and minimise downtime through rapid response to breakdowns and targeted maintenance.

You will mentor shift engineers, drive continuous improvement via projects, uphold Health & Safety standards, and collaborate with contractors to deliver reliable, safe operations on a rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained Electrical/Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (HNC/HND).
• Maintenance experience in a process plant, utilities or energy intensive environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Able to attend to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge/experience of PLCs, Control Systems, 3 Phase Motors and Inverter Drives.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly respond to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support to shift engineers and apprentices.
• Perform essential planned maintenance and repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement through innovative project work.
