Job summary

Morgan Ryder is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in the United Kingdom to oversee critical manufacturing operations and ensure uptime. You will coordinate maintenance activities, mentor shift engineers and apprentices, and drive improvement projects across the site.

The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical and mechanical maintenance, PLCs, and control systems within a fast-paced plant environment. A strong team player with excellent communication will fit well here.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained Electrical/Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (HNC/HND).
• Maintenance experience in a process plant, utilities or energy intensive manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Able to attend to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge/experience of PLCs, Control Systems, 3 Phase Motors and Inverter Drives.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly respond to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support to shift engineers and apprentices.
• Perform essential planned maintenance and repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement through innovative project work.
• Promote and ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards.
• Collaborate with contractors and colleagues to achieve company goals.
