Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high‑performing engineering team in a stable manufacturing environment. The role covers rapid electrical and mechanical breakdown repair, planned preventive maintenance and a diverse range of plant equipment including drives, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.

You will fault-find with Siemens PLCs, work on continuous improvement projects, document work clearly, and sometimes participate in on‑call rotas.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND (or equivalent).
• Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical capability.
• Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred) and motors, drives, hydraulics & pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Rapid response to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, fault finding and repair.
• Delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise uptime.
• Work on a diverse range of equipment – bespoke machinery, drives, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• PLC fault finding (Siemens, I/O level).
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Maintain clear documentation of work completed.
• Occasional participation in an on‑call rota.

Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights) – No Weekends

The Role

• Rapid response to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, fault finding and repair

• Experience with:

Shift Pattern

Week 1 – Monday – Thursday – 06:00 – 18:00

Week 2 – Wednesday & Thursday – 18:00 – 06:00 & Friday – 18:00 – 03:00

Week 3 – Monday & Tuesday – 18:00 – 06:00 & Friday – 06:00 – 18:00

No weekend working unless you choose overtime.
