Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates in Chorley, Lancashire is seeking a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer to keep production lines running smoothly. You will quickly respond to breakdowns, support shift engineers, and lead essential planned maintenance and improvement projects.

The role requires an apprentice-trained Electrical/Multi-Skilled engineer (HNC/HND) with PLC, control systems, 3-phase motors and inverter drives experience, plus strong teamwork and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained Electrical/Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (HNC/HND).
• Experience in a process plant, utilities or energy-intensive manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Able to attend to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge/experience of PLCs, Control Systems, 3 Phase Motors and Inverter Drives.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly respond to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support to shift engineers and apprentices.
• Perform essential planned maintenance and repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement through project work.
• Promote and ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards.
