Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Lead Engineer – Electrical to cover Market Harborough, Northampton and nearby areas. You will lead electrical repairs, installations and testing while coaching colleagues and supporting apprentices. A strong emphasis on safety, compliance and customer service is essential.

The role is mobile, with a focus on high-quality workmanship in customers' homes and communal areas, and requires a valid UK driving licence. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 + City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning & Certification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification in Inspection & Testing (I&T).
• AM2 and 18th Edition regulation.
• Unvented Hot Water qualification would be an advantage.
• JIB Approved Electrician card (desirable).
• Sound experience delivering electrical works in domestic settings.
• Excellent health & safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, testing, inspection and maintenance in customers' homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection to completion with excellent customer service.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues and apprentices.
• Sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support End Point Assessments (EPA).
• Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
• Support trade training and upskilling with Learning & Development teams.
• Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments for compliance and high standards.
