Job summary

Platform Housing Group seeks a Lead Engineer - Electrical in Worcestershire to lead high-quality electrical services across homes and communal areas. You’ll split time between hands-on repairs and mentoring colleagues, driving best practices and compliance.

You’ll coach apprentices, sign off multi-skill assessments and work with Learning & Development to raise trade standards across our Property Care teams.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
• Certifications in electrical installation, testing & inspection.
• High priority on health and safety and compliance.
• Experience delivering electrical works in domestic settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, testing and maintenance in homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection to completion with strong customer service.
• Coach and mentor colleagues; support apprentices through EPA.
• Sign off colleagues against multi-skill framework; promote standards.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development for training initiatives.
• Conduct trades audits and quality assessments for compliance.
• Act as technical expert and escalation point for queries.
• Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies.
