Job summary

Ampira Energy Limited is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and deliver robust electrical designs for load banks and power systems. You will manage a team of engineers, coordinate with mechanical, software, production and quality colleagues, and ensure designs meet safety, regulatory and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Six or more years of experience in electrical design or power-systems engineering, including leadership of projects or teams.
• Strong background in electrical design for power systems and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical design activities for load banks and power-related equipment.
• Define electrical architecture, schematics and system-level design strategies.
• Produce and validate electrical calculations (load, fault-current, thermal, protection coordination).
• Oversee wiring diagrams, schematics, control-panel layouts and bills of materials.
• Support prototype build, testing, commissioning and field issue resolution; provide technical support to manufacturing.
• Lead design reviews, hazard analyses, risk assessments and DFMEA.
• Mentor and manage electrical engineers; coordinate workload and development.
• Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory and quality requirements; support certification activities.
