Job summary

Ampira Energy Limited is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer to support the development of advanced power-electronic products. You will work in a multidisciplinary team across the full product lifecycle, from requirements capture to production support, combining power-electronics design with hands-on lab work on circuits, PCB assemblies and power-conversion systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least two years' experience in power-electronics design, motor drives or power conversion.
  • Experience designing medium- or high-power circuitry at LV/HC.
  • Knowledge of power-semiconductor technologies and device selection.
  • Experience designing gate-drive circuitry.
  • Experience designing low-voltage control and signal-level circuits including MCU interfaces and PWM.
  • Strong understanding of circuit analysis, simulation and experimental design.
  • Practical electronics lab experience including fault-finding and safe test equipment use.
  • Ability to translate theory into manufacturable designs.
  • Strong documentation discipline with traceability.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer, product and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate power-conversion topologies.
  • Design power stages, gate-drive circuits and low-voltage control electronics.
  • Select semiconductors and components against electrical, thermal, cost and reliability criteria.
  • Perform circuit calculations, modelling, simulation and design analysis.
  • Prototype, debug electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
  • Develop test methods and qualification procedures for components and assemblies.
  • Plan and conduct verification and validation testing.
  • Support requirements capture and traceability in product development lifecycle.
  • Produce schematics, bills of materials and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot prototype hardware, development units and production issues.
  • Apply engineering methods to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability.
  • Contribute to design reviews, investigations and continuous improvement.
