Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Lead Engineer – Electrical to cover Market Harborough, Northampton and surrounding areas. You will be the technical lead, spending most days on repairs, installations and testing, while coaching colleagues and guiding apprentices to meet high standards.

You’ll drive compliance, improve quality and deliver excellent customer outcomes, taking ownership of jobs from start to finish and promoting best practice across our Property Care teams.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an Electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
• City & Guilds 2391, or equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing.
• AM2 and 18th Edition regulation knowledge.
• Desirable: Unvented Hot Water qualification and JIB Approved Electrician card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, testing, inspection and maintenance in homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection through to completion with strong customer service.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues and apprentices.
• Sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support EPA for apprentices.
• Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
• Support training and upskilling initiatives with Learning & Development teams.
• Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments for compliance.
