Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead Building Services design projects within the MEP discipline, directing a project team across major schemes including large-scale infrastructure. You will demonstrate where your input influenced winning or successful delivery, and work with initiative on technical aspects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building services Engineering or applicable discipline.
• Working towards Chartership via Engineering Council accreditation.
• Working towards IET Engineer or Chartered Building Services Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Services design projects for the discipline and the wider project team.
• Demonstrate personal input that helped win or deliver commissions.
• Work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Interpret client needs to meet full delivery requirements of the project.
• Provide design and technical advice within a joint MEP leadership capacity.
• Supervise delivery of detailed designs and guide others.
• Lead feasibility studies for projects within the discipline.
• Direct production of detailed and performance specifications.
• Brief the project team and communicate project appointments.
• Review design programmes and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
