Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton, UK is seeking a Principal Electric Systems Engineer – Motor Drives to lead design, development and verification of motor drive systems within aerospace actuation. You will own architecture decisions and coordinate across electronics, software and test teams in a new facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience designing, developing and verifying motor drive systems.
• Strong expertise in power electronics design and inverter topologies.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, development and verification of motor drive systems.
• Own technical architecture and design decisions across the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities across electronics, software, firmware and test engineering.
• Collaborate with mechanical and systems leads to integrate motor drive controller subsystems.
• Lead validation and verification plans for the motor drive subsystem.
