Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to lead environmental elements of energy T&D projects. You will coordinate with environmental specialists and design teams to deliver high-quality EIA inputs and planning documentation.

In this role you will manage bids, project delivery, and financial performance while developing client relationships and opportunities for future work within the energy sector. You will mentor junior staff and promote sustainable design practices across projects.

Qualifications

• A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA, or similar.
• Chartered Environmental Status and membership of IEMA, or equivalent professional body.
• Extensive EIA experience with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental inputs for energy T&D projects and bid support.
• Oversee project delivery, budgeting, and timing.
• Provide environmental advice to clients and engineers, promoting sustainable design.
• Develop proposals and contribute to business development.
